At BTR we often offer certain clients the opportunity to stay on as senior resident or in some cases as a staff member. Travis is one that we are very blessed to have offered a position and he chose to stay on with us. Travis will continue to not only help other men that come through the program but also work on himself and his new sober life. Please meet one of our new BTR family members Travis.

My name is Travis Apple. I was born in Pittsburgh but grew up in Atlanta. I’m one of three children to two amazing parents. My hobbies and passions throughout life mostly consist of sports and music. The best part of my days are times spent with my son. Enjoying movies, boardgames, and parks together are a few examples of those good times. Being a father has been the greatest blessing of my life. My background professionally has mostly been restaurant and retail management. Where I’ve not only been successful, but more importantly met many lifelong friends along the way.
My most recent blessing has been my stay here at the Bridge to Recovery. After completing the program in late April, I was lucky to be asked to stay on as a staff member. A huge part of making that decision was the atmosphere here at the Bridge. My stay here as a client was nothing but life changing. My spiritual and mental health has never been stronger, and I have the staff and counselors here to thank for that. My days now consist of interacting and helping people with the same struggles I went through. Day after day I try to make their stay here a little easier. The best part about my job is seeing the growth the clients make here in 30 days. I try to share with them the same experience, strength, and hope I learned during my stay here. Mentoring and seeing them come in broken at times, then turning their life’s around one day and one step at a time. This place has taught me nothing changes if nothing changes. If you or a loved one are looking for a place that’ll help you make that change, the Bridge is a good place to start. This place is special, and I’m truly blessed to be a small part of it.

We would like to introduce you to another one of our great counselor's here at BTR. Meet Tia:

Hi, my name is Tia Montiero and I graduated from Gardner-Webb University in May of 2023 with my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I completed two internships at BTR and I never wanted to leave! I was overjoyed when a counselor position became available and I was able to stay. Seeing the transformation of the clients never ceases to amaze me. I’m also a youth leader at my church in Concord, NC, I’m a cat mom of 2, and I enjoy reading books and watching movies.

Meet our Assistant Executive Director here at Bridge to Recovery:

Hi! My name is Jody Goff and I am the Assistant Executive Director at Bridge To Recovery Treatment Center. I have been employed with BTR for 4 years and have been blessed to see our program continue to grow and serve the surrounding communities. I am originally from Charleston SC but have lived in the Charlotte area for over half my life. I have three children, two grandchildren, and two four legged furry kids. I believe God put me at Bridge at the right time for both BTR and myself. I’m Blessed to work with so many great men and women who are passionate about helping others restore their faith and begin their recovery journey.

I came to Bridge to Recovery after spending over twenty years in corporate with Harris Teeter Supermarkets and 7 years in management with Food Lion Supermarkets. I’ve also been a small business owner and operator of two local restaurants. My background in management and also being a small business owner has put me in a position to serve in the role I have here at BTR. I am currently responsible for all daily operations of our Monroe inpatient treatment campus, our Oakboro NC men’s sober living house, and our Stanfield NC lady’s treatment house.

In addition to my responsibilities at BTR I also own and operate Recovery B&B. Recovery B&B is a new concept that gives a bed and breakfast twist on a traditional outpatient treatment program. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my kids, my grandchildren, working out, cooking, baking, and landscaping. I also have two rescue pups, Luna & Zeus, who demand my undivided attention on a daily basis.

Meet another one of our staff here at BTR. We have been blessed to have Brandon cooking for the men and women that come here for their treatment.

My name is Brandon Dean. I am the Kitchen Manager at Bridge to Recovery. My journey at Bridge started in June of 2021 when I came to get treatment for alcohol addiction. I consider BTR part of my family and I have a lot of recovery support in this community.
My hometown is Cherryville, NC. In my free time I enjoy watching classic television and racing. I am also an avid reader interested primarily in anything about Blackbeard along with biographies about people in recovery.
I have enjoyed my time here watching residents in their transition to sober living. It brings me joy to see past residents come to our Noon AA Meeting here at BTR.

Bridge to Recovery is a 30 day inpatient drug and alcohol treatment center. Besides primarily being a 30 day inpatient treatment center we can usually modify the program to meet your individual needs. BTR can offer 7 day, 10 day, or even up to 4 months of inpatient treatment as well as an outpatient option.
In addition to our on campus accommodations and treatment we partner with Recovery B&B to offer a more private experience for your treatment which can be modified as well. Call today and see how we can help you or someone you love begin a journey to Recovery.
