ULM LSHP

ULM LSHP is a student affiliate of the Louisiana Society of Health-System Pharmacists.

The ULM Chapter of LSHP was formed to advance interest in health-systems pharmacy among student pharmacists, to provide leadership and clinical skills development opportunities through community outreach and professional development initiatives, and to promote interest in postgraduate, pharmacy residency programs by providing student pharmacists with information and resources relevant to ASHP-accredited residency programs. The vision of our society, in conjunction with ASHP Pharmacy Student Forum, is to grow and develop a community of student pharmacists prepared to lead the profession of health-system pharmacy to excellence. We dedicate ourselves to achieving excellence by creating a rewarding membership experience through:

• Anticipating student needs and delivering student-relevant information,
tools and resources consistent with ASHP and LSHP priorities

• Addressing the needs of student pharmacists with respect to health-
system pharmacy career, professional, and leadership development

• Representing the collective voice of student pharmacists regarding health-
system pharmacy issues in Louisiana

This week LSHP is selling Business Totes for our Fall Fundraiser! These totes come in one size/color and are perfect for holding electronic devices, gifts to pharmacy students or alumni, and complimenting business attire for conferences. This past weekend students of the ULM Student Chapter of LSHP attended the 2023 LSHP Mid-Year Conference and learned about recommended therapies for disease states and pharmacy law updates through knowledge- based activities. Students also had the opportunity to network with attending pharmacists and ULM faculty members affiliated with the state organization. Everyone had an amazing time, and our organization looks forward to next year’s conference!

We sure had a good time at the St. Vincent DePaul Poor Man's Run this past weekend and were glad to contribute to the education being given to the runners while they warmed up! looking forward to the event again next year already!

Well ULM's day at the zoo turned out to be quite the success! Plenty of good times and patient education was had. Glad to see everyone who was able to come!!
