Phifer Eye Office Hours: Monday-Thursday: 8:00am-5:00pm Friday: 8:00am-12:00pm Dr.John T. He treats eye injuries in both children and adults.

Phifer graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before attending Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. He has operated a solo practice in Monroe for twenty nine years and is known for his thoroughness in performing an eye exam. Each patient receives individual care based on their needs - not hurried through as in many large clinics. In addition to the routine eye exams, Dr. Phifer also offers a full range of optometric services. He performs pre-lasik and post-lasik examinations as well as follow-up care for cataract surgery.

Phifer Eye will be closed for vacation from Monday, July 14 through Friday, July 18. We will reopen on Monday, July 21 with normal business hours.

Big things are happening at Phifer Eye! We will be closed for vacation until the 25th and while we are closed, our renovations will begin. So, when we return from vacation we will be at a temporary location at 1207 Skyway Dr (right beside Sherwin Williams). We should only be there a few weeks. Feel free to stop by!

Phifer Eye is so excited to announce that a new Dr Phifer will be joining us soon.
Dr John Braxton Phifer will be following in his father’s footsteps beginning the end of July. He graduated from the Southern College of Optometry in June, 2020 and has been working as a resident at the VA for the past year.
We hope you will join us in welcoming him to the practice.
