About Autism Therapy:
Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) are complex, neurologically based behavioral developmental disorders. It is characterized by: delays in communication, pervasive repetitive behaviors, and social deficits. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) uses empirically validated, research-based methods and interventions to create socially significant change. ABA is data-driven and closely monitored for effectiveness. ABA is widely accepted among health care professionals as an effective treatment for autism. Research has shown that strategies based on ABA are effective for increasing appropriate behavior and decreasing inappropriate behavior in children with Autism. Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention has shown increases in language acquisition, IQ, and adaptive behaviors such as communication, socialization, and daily living skills.
