More and more woman are struggling with ADHD symptoms later in life due to a decrease in estrogen. A comprehensive Adult ADHD assessment may be the key to understanding why all the sudden life is unmanagable. Visit my website today for more information on how an ADHD assessment may benefit you.

One little-known side effect of menopause and perimenopause? They may make your ADHD symptoms harder to manage. Here's how one businesswoman dealt with her shifting hormones — and stayed on top of her workload.

When patterns like distraction, overwhelm, emotional intensity, and bursts of creativity show up across generations, it’s not a coincidence—it may be ADHD.

At Aurora Counseling, we often hear stories like:
A parent who struggled to stay organized but could solve any problem.
A sibling who felt emotions deeply and was labeled “too much.”
A relative who jumped from job to job but never stopped reinventing themselves.

And then there’s you—wondering why focus feels so hard, why your mind never slows down, or why you’ve always felt different.

ADHD isn’t a character flaw. It’s a different way the brain processes the world—often bringing strengths like creativity, intuition, and resilience, alongside challenges like disorganization, burnout, and emotional overwhelm.

Getting answers can be life-changing.
An Adult ADHD Assessment can help you:
• Understand your brain and how it works
• Replace self-criticism with self-compassion
• Identify strengths and build effective strategies
• Find clarity after years of questioning

You’re not “too much.” You’re wired differently—and understanding that can change everything.

If you’ve been wondering whether ADHD might be part of your story, Aurora Counseling is here to help. Reach out today to learn more about our Adult ADHD Assessments.

We keep hearing the same phrase repeated like a diagnosis: loneliness is an epidemic. Articles warn of rising isolation. Studies link social disconnection to declining mental health.
