Care givers play a pivotal role in assisting those were the cancer diagnosis on their healing journey however their contributions often go on recognized. I sat down to have a conversation with Monica Koehler, the spouse and former caregiver of the late Raymond Koehler who transitioned after being on his healing journey from metastatic colorectal cancer. As a former caregiver of my mother who was diagnosed with metastatic pancreatic cancer in 2012 and transitioned in 2013, I know firsthand the rigorous schedule, the mental fortitude and the roller coaster of emotions experienced by caregivers and wanted to lend a voice to those who are so often forgotten and under appreciated.
