Care givers play a pivotal role in assisting those were the cancer diagnosis on their healing journey however their contributions often go on recognized. I sat down to have a conversation with Monica Koehler, the spouse and former caregiver of the late Raymond Koehler who transitioned after being on his healing journey from metastatic colorectal cancer. As a former caregiver of my mother who was diagnosed with metastatic pancreatic cancer in 2012 and transitioned in 2013, I know firsthand the rigorous schedule, the mental fortitude and the roller coaster of emotions experienced by caregivers and wanted to lend a voice to those who are so often forgotten and under appreciated. This should be personalized using appropriate testing. Adonai Optimal Health and Wellness, is a results based, Naturopathic and Integrative Medical practice. The Clinical Director, and Naturopathic practitioner, Dr. Whitton, employs adjunctive natural modalities in the treatment of chronic debilitating disease including supporting the health of the cancer patient. Dr. Whitton’s training has taken her globally, including Germany and Mexico. She has obtained certification in Nutritional Enzyme Therapy, Natural Immune Therapy, and Oxygen Therapy. The modalities available at AOHW have been both scientifically and clinically proven to produce positive health effects, are non-toxic, and minimally invasive, and when used in conjunction with conventional Oncology treatments, can optimize patient outcomes by minimizing the toxicity of conventional chemotherapy agents, as well as protecting the healthy cells through overall support of the body serving as host to the cancer. In cases where conventional therapy as failed, naturopathic oncological treatments can be used palliatively to improve quality of life for those with end-stage disease. The goal of Naturopathic Oncology is patient focused, meaning, we do not focus on the disease but rather the Host, or individual “Housing” the disease. We believe in the inherent ability of the body to heal itself, or perpetuate a state of harmony. it is when this state of equilibrium is disrupted, that disease arises. Membership includes OncANP (Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians and SIO (Society of Interative Oncology).
