Weather Update for KindCare Families

Union County Public Schools (UCPS) has announced a school closure due to weather conditions.
At KindCareADHC , our decision will depend on weather conditions as well as the status of Union County offices, the City of Monroe offices, and Union County Transportation. If these services close due to the storm or conditions become unsafe, KindCare will also close.
At this time, we have checked the official sites and there is no announcement of closures yet. If county offices and transportation remain open and conditions are safe, KindCare will remain open.
We will make a final decision by 6:00 AM and will post an update if anything changes.
In the meantime, we encourage caregivers to use their own judgment and prioritize safety when deciding whether travel is safe for them and their loved ones.
Thank you for your understanding, and please stay safe.

Recently, while completing ongoing assessments at KindCare Adult Day & Health Center, we took a moment to ask a few caregivers a simple question:
“How are you doing? How are you holding up?”
The answers were honest and deeply moving.
Many of these caregivers are supporting loved ones living with memory challenges. Behind every participant we serve, there is often someone carrying a quiet but heavy responsibility — balancing love, exhaustion, patience, and hope.
Listening to their stories filled us with compassion and admiration. The strength and dedication caregivers show every single day is extraordinary.
Caregiving is one of the most demanding and yet often unseen roles in our communities.
At KindCare, it is a privilege for us to partner with families and provide a safe, engaging environment for their loved ones so caregivers can take a moment to breathe, work, or simply rest knowing their loved one is supported.
To every caregiver: your strength does not go unnoticed.
💬 A question for caregivers:
What is one thing that has helped you stay strong while caring for your loved one?
Your experience may help and encourage another caregiver who is walking a similar path.

Last week was full of engaging fun and meaningful connection!
Participants practiced memory skills by recalling staff and peer names with encouragement and support.
We enjoyed laughter during our noodle & balloon game, promoting eye-hand coordination and teamwork.
Our Fruit Loop trading activity helped build focus, coordination, and a sense of accomplishment.
And not to forget… 🎤
Our 80s sing-along & karaoke brought back joyful memories through music and connection.
💜 National Caregivers Day (February 20, 2026) was last week, and we want to sincerely acknowledge caregivers and their hard work.
Your dedication makes a difference every single day.
We are now proudly serving Veterans — supporting those who have served our country with compassionate day support, social engagement, and health-focused care in a safe and welcoming environment.
We are honored to partner with caregivers and families in caring for your loved ones.
💚 A community that truly cares.

❤️ A Week Full of Love at KindCare ❤️
This past week was filled with fun, laughter, and meaningful moments as we celebrated Valentine’s Day together.
Our participants enjoyed creating Valentine’s arts and crafts, sharing smiles at our silly photo booth, dancing to music, and enjoying festive, themed treats. The room was alive with joy — and yes, plenty of laughter!
Moments like these may look simple, but they matter deeply. They bring connection, purpose, and happiness to the day.
And while their loved ones were here laughing, creating, and enjoying time with friends… many caregivers had a chance to take a breath, knowing their family member was safe, engaged, and cared for.
At KindCare, celebrations are not just about fun — they’re about creating joyful experiences that support emotional well-being and human connection.
✨ Want to join us?
Ask about our Free Trial Day — the best way for participants to experience a day of fun and connection… while caregivers take the time to do what they need or simply rest.
Give it a try 💗
