A warm meal can make a big difference. That’s why we’ve partnered with the Green County Family YMCA to provide 45 shelf-stable meal bags for their members who need a little extra support with no questions asked. Each bag includes ingredients for a comforting meal like Chicken & Wild Rice Casserole, Ham Chowder, and Beef & Bean Chili.

As Erica Wand shared: “I hope this brings relief and reassurance, eases stress, and reminds people that help is available without judgment. Just because someone carries it doesn’t mean it isn’t heavy.”

This project is just one unique way that SSM Health Monroe Hospital is partnering with the Green County Family YMCA to support local families and foster a stronger, healthier community.

We’re proud to celebrate Sarah Sughroue, ICU nurse, for being recognized with the SSM Health Nursing Professional Practice Model Award in the “I Am Accountable” category!

Out of 254 nominations across SSM Health, only five nurses were selected. These awards honor nurses who consistently go above and beyond to exemplify our Professional Practice Model.

Sarah’s been a driving force behind our success with progressive mobility for ventilated patients, a complex initiative that requires incredible coordination. By organizing multidisciplinary teams at the bedside and leading with persistence, Sarah has helped achieve numerous successful mobilizations. Her efforts have inspired the entire team to adopt these workflows, improving patient outcomes and setting a high standard for accountability.
