Use Them or Lose Them, Your Dental Insurance Benefits & HSA! Click the link below to visit our website and request an appointment: www.piedmontdental.com or call/text 704-225-8555. Did you know that the majority of Americans ring in the New Year with dental insurance dollars left on the table? Most dental benefits "reset" or "expire" at the start of a new year. If your insurance uses this plan type, December 31st,2025 is the last day you can take advantage of the yearly pool of benefits you’ve already paid for. Many patients have insurance that works like this, so make sure to schedule any appointments you might need as soon as possible. December is often the busiest month in dentistry, so we recommend booking now so that we can accommodate you. We want your out-of-pocket expenses kept to a minimum, and to keep you healthy and happy! 😁

Did you know November is designated as National Diabetes Awareness Month? "According to the American Dental Association (ADA) people with diabetes are at greater risk for gum diseases like gingivitis & periodontitis due to increased blood sugar levels that allow bacteria to thrive." "Your blood sugar levels also rise when you have gum disease, making diabetes even harder to control."
Tips for Diabetics to Avoid Gum Disease:
1. Keep your blood sugar in check.
2. Brush, floss & rinse with an antiseptic mouthwash daily. This will help to stop most tooth and gum disease before it has a chance to get established.
3. Limit acidic drinks, which erodes the enamel of your teeth and leads to decay.
4. See Dr. Tiagha twice a year, or more often if needed. πŸ’•πŸ¦·πŸͺ₯

Happy Halloween! Remember to brush your teeth, candy sticks to your teeth and feeds the MOUTH MONSTERS that cause tooth decay. 🦷πŸͺ₯ Halloween is all about fun, but it’s important to keep dental health in mind. !πŸŽƒπŸ‘»
Here are some tips for enjoying the holiday while maintaining healthy teeth:
1. Brush After Treats: Encourage kids to brush their teeth right after enjoying candy. This helps remove sugar and prevents cavities.
2. Limit Sugary Snacks: Set a limit on how many pieces of candy kids can have each day. Moderation is key to keeping teeth healthy.
3. Choose Wisely: Opt for chocolates over hard candies, as hard candies can stick to teeth longer & promote decay.
4. Regular Check-Ups: Schedule dental check-ups after Halloween to ensure that all teeth are in good health. Dentists can spot early signs of decay before they become serious.
This Halloween, let’s combine spooky fun with good dental habits! πŸŽƒπŸ‘½πŸ‘»
