In honor of , we'd like to share some information and resources about mammograms. Early detection remains the best defense against breast cancer. And yes, individuals (both males and females) who use a wheelchair can get a mammogram! Visit our website to learn more.

Since 1985, October has been recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness Month—a movement that continues to inspire awareness, encourage early screening, and fund groundbreaking research for a cure.

The National Home Care Conference is fast approaching (Oct. 20-21), so we'd like to send Prudence "Trudy" Jaicon the best of luck on her trip to Dallas, TX!

Trudy is one of our lead Certified Home Health Aides (CHHAs) at Wi******er Gardens, and she was recently honored by Annette Murphy as being recognized and ranked in the top 5 CHHAs nationwide by the Home Care Association of America.

There were many applicants, but Trudy was chosen and will now be representing Springpoint at the nationwide conference this month. The Springpoint at Home team awarded her a new suitcase, flowers, and a surprise celebration at the community. Congratulations again, Trudy!

We recently hosted our 2nd annual Pink Out for Breast Cancer Awareness event. We are honored that Patty Hutman Parker, RN, BSN, OCN Breast Health Navigator, RWJB Hamilton was able to join us. Patty brought us up-to-date on the latest technology in cancer detection and treatment. She also reminded us that breast cancer can hit both women and men and that prevention with early detection is the key.

Please remember to do your monthly or bi-monthly breast exam and schedule your yearly mammogram! A special thanks to our partners, Brookdale Senior Living and Caring Hospice.

A group of older adults from around Mercer County came out to learn about the many varieties of apples and their nutritional benefits at “An Apple a Day” presentation held at the East Windsor Senior Center. In addition, they had the opportunity to learn more about community resources from Kelly Aylward, Marketing and Community Relations for Springpoint at Home, along with Rachal Baille, Marketing Director for Bear Creek Assisted Living.

A full-circle moment at Springpoint! Meet Emily Bell, whose Springpoint journey began at just 16 years old at the Meadow Lakes Life Plan Community — following in the footsteps of her parents (and later her sister!). What started as a part-time waitstaff role quickly grew into a lifelong passion for working with residents who’ve become like family.

From serving in the café to earning her Black Seal license and supporting the maintenance team during COVID, Emily has embraced every opportunity to learn and grow within the Springpoint community. With the help of a resident-funded scholarship, she earned her Master’s in Social Work from Rutgers University and now proudly serves as an Aging Life Care Advisor™ with Springpoint at Home.

Recently, Emily reunited with a resident she’s known since her career began at Meadow Lakes. “Her face lit up with pride when I told her about my new role. That moment reminded me I’m exactly where I’m meant to be."
