It is with heavy hearts and a lifetime of fond memories that we announce the passing of Edward Roy “Ed” Olleman.

Eddie Olleman departed from this world at Life’s Journey Hospice, in Avon, at the age of 73, while surrounded by his wife and two daughters, on Friday, January 9, 2026, at 2:25pm.

After courageously battling stage four Hodgkin’s lymphoma over the last year, Eddie defied the odds and proudly rang the bell, entering remission on November 10, 2025. Following a respiratory illness, he was admitted to IU West Hospital on Christmas morning.

The last sixteen days have been a profound testament to his incredible strength and his fierce love for family; he fought for every extra moment, and his three beloved girls never left his side. As Kansas softly played “Dust in the Wind,” Ed passed knowing he was cherished beyond measure.

The family kindly asks for your patience as they process this great and sudden loss.

A detailed obituary with service times will be posted within the next couple of days.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Light Memorial & Funeral Chapel, in Monrovia, and are pending at this time. To share a favorite story, send the family an online condolence, or light a candle in Ed’s memory visit https://www.lightmemorial.com/m/obituaries/ed-olleman/Memories
