“hello everyone! i am so happy and honored to serve as MTSO’s vice president for this school year! i found out about music therapy my junior year of high school and knew immediately that this is what i want to do with my life! though i’m a voice primary i have been playing piano for 13 years, and i love listening to music and learning about new artists! so excited to get to know y’all more as the year goes on!

Did someone say an IN-PERSON event?!?! WOOHOO Our in-person Music Therapy Recital is THIS FRIDAY, May 7, 2021 at 4:00 pm in front of Russ Hall (Cali Quad)!!
We will remain socially distanced & will disinfect all shared instruments. With this said, we do encourage bringing your own guitar/instruments if possible!

Hello everyone! Just a reminder that our first ever FREE virtual symposium is this weekend, May 1st and May 2nd. We will be exploring the theme of connection through presentations by MSU professors and alumni, as well as other professionals in the field. There will also be opportunities for networking and even an open mic night.

MTSO presents our MARAMTAS Gives Back - Music Gram Fundraiser. For $3, request any E-Board member to cover a song of your choice or to our instagram story. All proceeds will be donated to the Brooklyn Music School through MARAMTAS Gives Back.

We are excited to announce that we are hosting our first FREE virtual music therapy symposium on Saturday, May 1st and Sunday, May 2nd! We will be highlighting topics such as telehealth, cultural competency, social justice, and LGBTQIA+ issues, featuring professional presenters such as Michael Viega, Zachary Kandler, and more!

More info will come out soon! We hope to (virtually) see you there!

MTSO’s Musical March Madness is this Friday (TODAY!) at 5:30 pm and it’s going to be EPIC!🔥⚡️🔥
Similar to the March Madness in the sports game of basketball, in which they create a bracket of which team will win the season, we’re recreating this with YOUR favorite music artists! 😁
At the event, you will choose a song from your artist (bracket now created- but you can still choose who to support!) to show-off or play, and provide a small argument as to why the artist should move to the next round. Then everyone at the event will vote and declare an ULTIMATE winner!🔥
