I’ve been listening to this podcast & it’s SO good! Julia Cameron’s Artist’s Way saved me back decades ago when I was struggling with alcohol and feeling so stuck with my buried dreams - for all those peeps out there who want to stoke their fire and feed your soul with inspiration & guidance I def recommend the Artist’s Way (I still do MP -morning pages) and this wonderful podcast. Thank you Lauren for putting yourself and your gifts out there so that we can also shine.

Half day retreat at Central Park beautifully led by - What a gift it was to commune in sacred silence with nature, awaken our senses and our hearts to the birds, grass, insects, sun, and each other- right in the heart of Manhattan. You don’t need a fancy 5 star retreat to open up to peace and our true nature. All of the abundance is right in front of us, at any given moment. We just have to look a little deeper.

Last trip to the beach for the summer. Morning practice with the rising sun and sand between my toes. I surrender control. I hold all that stirs in me with acceptance & kindness. It’s ok. It’s ok to let go - into the unknown.

There’s 𝘊𝘏𝘈𝘕𝘎𝘌 in the air. ⁣
My son and I went for a nature walk and we ended up making this lovely array of leaves, and then my son found a 𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗸 and put it right in the center.⁣
As if he knew intuitively that the rock was needed to 𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘳 the wheel of colors and change. ⁣

That rock is like our practice, our diligence and devotion to show up as we keep evolving in this colorful, crazy, beautifully changing world. ⁣

Our practice might change too, our beliefs- but I think one thing remains: is our 𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 to keep showing up. ⁣

To invite what’s present in our hearts with kindness. ⁣
To practice letting go of what we don’t need. ⁣
To be grateful for each day. ⁣

Because change might mean we don’t have much time left. It might mean someone you pass on the street you’ll never see again. ⁣

Every moment is changing. Not only when leaves change. But every moment of every min.⁣

How do you feel about change? And new beginnings? Do you have a rock in the center of the wheel of colors? Let me know in the comments.⁣

Ever try to help someone (& you thought you were being so helpful) but you 𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯’𝘵? ⁣
Take a closer look. Were you superimposing your own views & desires on someone else? Did you take a moment to really 𝘀𝗲𝗲 them and understand where they’re coming from? 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗹 what they’re feeling? ⁣or were you more wrapped up in your own world?

Spotlight is on 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 not yourself. It really asks you to dissolve your own ego and just listen deeply and be present for them. Their needs. Not yours to try and fix (unless they specifically ask for advice). ⁣

I’m learning to say, would you just like me to LISTEN or WOULD YOU LIKE MY ADVICE? This is mindful listening practice. ⁣

This has proven true again and again for me. When I am practicing and meditating consistently, and making self care a priority - I'm better equipped when s**t hits the fan.

Stress has a way of completely pulling the rug out under you. Start training. Why not today? Because it's cumulative you will see how it benefits you as you keep showing up. Train your brain. Nourish your heart. Meditate. Practice Mindfulness.

Start small. Bruce Lee wasn't born doing superhuman feats. Do yourself a big favor and start a meditation practice now.

Join LIVE or ask for the RECORDING and practice on your own!⁣

This Sunday, the theme is 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲.⁣

Some things we'll explore:⁣

𝗔𝘀 𝘄𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲: what can we do to help our body build resilience? what's the best approach? what can we do when our body doesn't cooperate?⁣

𝗜𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀: what does resilience look like as we go through the ups and downs in our lives? what are some things we can do to set up us to succeed, no matter where we are in our process? ⁣

Join me this Sunday at 10AM EST - or if you can't make it ask me for the recording by leaving a comment here 🙂⁣

**A seeming paradox, right? ** Some people may believe that mindfulness is about non-engagement - that ‘not being attached' means escaping from life.

Hey if I wanted an *escape*, I'd binge watch _____ fill in the blank.

Instead of escaping, mindfulness is actually about getting more intimate with the present moment.

When you pause, take a breath, feel your body & the sensations around and within you, with as little judgement as possible, notice your awareness….

The ordinary moments become ... extraordinary.

I invite you to choose a moment to be in the extraordinary and watch how insight starts to pour in.

It's a practice, like doing scales on the piano.

Don't learn the entire Mozart concerto, just learn the scale. One note at a time.

Let me know if you have any questions!
