Celebrating every single win while receiving neurologically focused chiropractic care—and this one was a big win for Gaurav 💛

While dad and baby brother were getting scanned, Gaurav settled in with his grandpa, waiting his turn with a level of patience that felt like a victory all on its own. No rushing. No frustration. Just calm observation and quiet anticipation.

As Dr. Ashley was adjusting another patient, Gaurav kept wandering over, flashing the biggest grin, clearly aware that his moment was coming. When the adjustment wrapped up and the patient sat up on the table, Gaurav stepped right in. He gently took Dr. Ashley’s hand, sharing a moment of sweet connection with the patient, then confidently placed his hand on her shoulder and guided her off the table—making it very clear that he was ready.

No words needed. His body said it all.

This was beautiful non-verbal communication in action. Gaurav expressed exactly what he wanted, when he wanted it, in a calm and regulated way. Grandpa caught Dr. Ashley’s eye, and they both burst into laughter, sharing the joy of the moment.

Moments like these are why we celebrate every win. When the nervous system is supported and regulated, kids gain access to clearer communication, better self-expression, and more connection with the world around them. Today, Gaurav showed us just how powerful that can be—and it was absolutely worth celebrating. ✨

How parking my car gave me deeper appreciation for what’s going on inside your SPD-ADHD/ Anxiety/ASD kiddo.

Those who hang out with me know why I bond with your kids so easily. My bran is just like theirs.

40 plus years ago I had speech therapy, I had OT, I had some seriously aggressive meltdowns.

Yesterday, after the weekly science call I ordered my go-to Thai lunch and while driving, the seven minutes to the restaurant I enjoyed some excellent music (AC/DC which was followed by BOC’s “Godzilla” - of course the live version of Godzilla is preferred - there I go, let’s get my brain back on topic).

At the restaurant, I ran into the familiar problem of, my truck not easily fitting into the crowded narrow parking lot. So I had to level up my focus to ensure I didn’t create a scene.

Bottom line I had to Calm Down my Motor-Sensory challenged brain (yes, still challenged BUT SO much better and constantly improving). I calmed down my motor-sensory system by turning down the volume of the song.

Unfortunately too many kiddos nervous systems have too much input, distortion and noise to simply turn down the volume. Unable to turn down the volume they are unable to focus, emotionally regulate and develop.
They have “Godzilla” running through their head 24/7.

They are trying to park their car (learn at school, emotionally regulate with mom/siblings, sleep, connect- communicate- focus) with non-stop nervous system noise.

I really love my 80’s music, I just don’t want “welcome to the jungle” playing full out 24/7.

Thanks to chiropractic I can now turn the volume down or simply change the station. Let us do the same for you or your child. Message or call, it’s too important to not take action.
