He volunteers at a local thrift store to gain work skills as he works towards gaining employment. He also loves to work out, and has made some amazing friends along the way. 👏🩵

Oparc participants recently had the opportunity to learn how to fish, trying something new while enjoying the outdoors together. From learning how to cast a line to patiently waiting for a bite, it was a day filled with laughter, teamwork, and lots of encouragement.

Kristen is using her voice to make a difference! 💛

As an Oparc participant, she attended the CDSA Legislative Affairs Conference 2026 in Sacramento, where she met with four legislators to advocate for disability rights and equitable access to services.
From protecting the Lanterman Act to supporting bills that expand access, flexibility, and recognition for Direct Support Professionals, Kristen spoke up on the issues that matter most to her community ✨

Her courage, passion, and advocacy are a powerful reminder that every voice matters.
