So, what’s the difference between a support group and a therapy group? Both types of groups encourage members ti be vulnerable and to talk about their lives and problems in emotionally significant ways. But a therapy group has more punch. It also encourages you to say how you’re feeling in the moment with the others in the room. A therapy group also invites you to speak about who the others in the group remind you of - and emphasizes putting how you feel towards them (Andy why) into words. Therapy groups help folks feel more comfortable with working out healthy or productive conflict and help deepen your sense of connection with others. Follow me for more about groups.
