As we approach the Lunar New Year, we near the end of a season of shedding and the Year of the Snake.
Momentum is building as we near Year of the Fire Horse.

We are in a rare threshold moment.

Not the old year. Not the new one yet.
A doorway.

🐍The Year of the Snake is not loud transformation.

It’s quiet shedding.

The honest release of versions of you that simply don’t fit anymore.

No forcing. No performance. Just growth becoming undeniable.

And rising on the horizon:
🔥🐎 Fire Horse energy.

Movement.
Courage.
Momentum.

Because transformation is never the end of the story.

Shedding is preparation.

You release so you can run lighter.
Clearer.
More aligned.

So I’ll ask gently:
What are you ready to outgrow?

And what part of you is ready to ignite?

If you feel suspended right now… not where you were, not yet where you’re going…

You’re not behind.
You’re right on time.

I had the fortune to see the monks on their Walk for Peace and listen to Venerable Bhikkhu Paññākāra speak for nearly an hour. It’s rare to be in a space where the only agenda is presence.

One thing that stayed with me is how he spoke about mindfulness — not as something reserved for monks, retreats, or quiet mountaintops — but as something deeply accessible. For parents. For busy professionals. For young people. For anyone moving through an ordinary Tuesday. Mindfulness isn’t about escaping life. It’s about meeting it as it is.

He offered a simple reminder: even one minute each hour matters. By the end of a workday, that’s eight minutes you’ve intentionally given back to yourself.

I was humbled to receive a blessing bracelet — a small, gentle cue to return to intention and awareness, and a connection to their journey and walk for peace.

I’m sharing a short excerpt from his talk because I think many of us are craving this reminder.
