While OSHA doesn’t have a specific rule about tool tethers, it does say workers must be protected from falling objects and tool tethers are one of the best ways to do it.

ANSI/ISEA 121 provides guidance on proper tethering systems and make sure every lift, ladder, and high platform is a drop-free zone. 🍂
