Lately parents have been getting bad advice by doctors to use walkers to help learn to walk. This is actually not recommended because it doesn’t teach them to walk correctly & can be more damaging. This article may be from 2018, but continues to hold true.

Amazing week @ TheraSens Pediatric Occupational & Physical Therapy! We concluded our fine motor camps. Mona, our new OT who is fluent in Tagalog & has advanced training in picky feeders started this week. We hired our previous OT student, Savannah, who will be our 4th therapist that’s fluent in Spanish to our team. Dr. Coleman, developmental pediatrician, conducted diagnostics tests for our patients. Natividad Medical Center had a family resident doctor come to shadow & learn what OT & PT’s do. Taylor, our wonderful capstone student presented her research project & she created these great handouts in English & Spanish to help parent’s with problem feeders. It’s been a busy week 🐝
