KNOW YOUR ARTISTS: Richie Cunning w/ DJBADDJ & Colton Bell

San Francisco’s Richie Cunning and DJBADDJ bring a sophisticated edge to West Coast hip-hop, blending Cunning’s witty lyricism with the classic boom-bap grit of the golden era. Together, the duo delivers a high-energy performance grounded in sample-heavy beats and sharp turntablism that authentically honors the traditional MC and DJ dynamic.

Joining the duo is up-and-coming artist Colton Bell, who brings a fresh perspective to the stage with his unique mix of modern hip-hop, sharp humor, and engaging storytelling.

Beyond the turntables and the mic, community is fundamentally about connection for this duo. Bridging San Francisco and the Monterey Bay, they actively bring people together to unite neighborhoods, support fellow creators, and build a lasting, vibrant foundation wherever they perform.

Catch these lyrical wonders from 12:00-12:45 at BANDING TOGETHER. Tickets at bandingtogether26.eventbrite.com

KNOW YOUR ARTISTS: SEA. LVL

SEA.LVL is an R&B duo from Monterey comprised of two instrumentalists, Glenn Bell and Schuyler Horn. Inspired by modern R&B artists, SEA.LVL’s repertoire includes selections as diverse as gentle ballads to funky neo-soul grooves.

Glenn Bell is a Monterey-based musician who draws from his family’s Costa Rican and New Orleans cultural background. Committed to making live music accessible to a wider audience, Glenn may be found anywhere from a club to a classroom, whether performing jazz, r&b, reggae, or solo cocktail music.

While attending high school, Glenn moved to Monterey County because his mother was suffering from mental health challenges. Glenn was able to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from California State University of Monterey Bay because programs like Community Human Services made it easier for his family to find counseling and resources.

And Schuyler plays trumpet really well.

SEA.LVL will be bringing the energy from 1:15-2:00 on Saturday, March 7th at BANDING TOGETHER. Get your tickets today by visiting bandingtogether26.eventbrite.com

KNOW YOUR ARTISTS: The Rumba Madre

The Rumba Madre is a genre-bending band that fuses the raw energy of punk rock with the vibrant soul of mariachi and Latin rhythms. With multilingual lyrics and a fearless cross-cultural sound, they create music that breaks borders and defies expectations. Fueled by blazing horns and electrifying performances, The Rumba Madre turns every stage into a high-voltage celebration of rhythm and rebellion.

Part of this rebellion is definitely contributing to the well-being of the community, and with their music and artistic activism (or as they like to call it “artivism”), they are determined to provide a space for community gathering and mutual support. We are here for each other.

See The Rumba Madre at Banding Together on March 7th from 2:30-3:30. Get your tickets by clicking the link in our bio!

His melodic rap is rooted in real life struggles, and he’s passionate about speaking openly on mental health because he knows how many people suffer in silence—he wants his music to make people feel seen, understood, and reminded that their story still matters. 🍓

See DannyV at Banding Together at the CA State Park Custom House Plaza from 4:00-5:00 on Saturday, March 7th. Tickets available at bandingtogether26.eventbrite.com !
