Community Human Services We provide homeless, mental health & substance abuse services to Monterey County residents in need. Please visit us at www.chservices.org.

Each year, Community Human Services helps over 3000 people in Monterey County address substance abuse and mental health issues. Our programs are designed to serve low and moderate income families who are uninsured or otherwise unable to afford care. Our funding comes from Medi-Cal, government contracts, private grants and donations and client fees.

At CHS, we know that healing and stability don’t happen in isolation—they happen through connection. Our volunteers are part of that connection. They help create welcoming spaces, build trust, and remind the people we serve that they are not alone.
