Summit Pacific understands that many citizens of Grays Harbor County desire to receive the COVID-19 vaccine as soon as possible. SPMC is actively working with the Grays Harbor County Health Department under the Governorβs COVID Vaccine plan to try to support as many individuals as possible.
The distribution plan mirrors the phasing as outlined by the state as closely as possible while assessing community need, vaccine allotment, vaccine uptake and vaccine wastage. Additionally, SPMC recognizes the importance of flexibility as state guidance, community need, and vaccine allotment evolves and will respond to said changes as judiciously as possible.
You may hear that others have been vaccinated in your profession, age group, etc., and be confused as to why you have not yet been offered the vaccine. Please understand that the current vaccines are produced in multi-dose vials which shortens the length of time the vaccine remains viable once opened. SPMC is committed to vaccinating as many approved populations as possible within the provided timeline. As such, the situation may arise during a time period where available individuals in an approved population have been contacted and/or administered with vaccine while additional vaccine doses remain at risk of spoilage. In an effort to reduce spoilage and waste, SPMC has created a protocol to identify individuals who are willing to receive a vaccine on short notice, either within the current phase or subsequent phase. SPMC will focus primarily on one phase at a time and create a waiting list for next phase recipients and proceed step by step until all extra vaccine doses have been utilized.
LARGE ORGANIZATIONS:
Large organization inquiries can be directed to covidvaccines@sp-mc.org where they will be provided the intake link and some information to assist in planning for vaccines when eligible. We recommend large organizations work with our operations team to block out time when we guarantee we have enough vaccine on hand. These large organizations making appointments also ensures our waiting rooms are not overwhelmed and can accommodate for physical distancing.
CURRENTLY ELIGIBLE COMMUNITY MEMBERS:
If you are eligible under the current phase, you can have two options to get vaccinated. Either come to Summit Pacific Medical Center Monday thru Friday from 8 a.m. to noon, or email vaccinescheduling@sp-mc.org to schedule an appointment.
OTHERS INTERESTED IN THE VACCINE BUT NOT YET ELIGIBLE:
Any individual community member can complete the vaccine intake survey at http://bit.ly/vaccineintake. This information helps us determine phase eligibility and puts them on our list for vaccination β this list also allows them to have standby status should we be at risk to waste a dose due to time limitations. Once you complete the survey, our staff will call you directly once enough vaccine arrives and you become eligible. PLEASE DO NOT CALL TO SCHEDULE A VACCINE APPOINTMENT AT THIS TIME.
Anyone can identify their phase eligibility using this eligibility finder tool from the state: https://wadoh.jotform.com/203418436942154
Thank you for your continued support and patience as we work to serve you as best we can.
