On behalf of The READY Clinic and SWWC, we are pleased to invite you to attend the READY to Shine Conference: Uniting Providers & Families for Autism Support on Thursday, April 23 from 11:30 AM to 4:15 PM, followed by the READY to Connect Resource Fair from 4:15 PM to 6:00 PM at The Upper Room in Marshall. This regional conference brings together healthcare providers, educators, service agencies, and families to address critical topics impacting individuals with autism across the lifespan. With growing awareness of autism and increasing demand for services, particularly in rural communities, this event highlights collaboration, innovation, and local resources making a difference in greater Minnesota.
Featured speakers include:
• Dr. Adam Langenfeld, MD, PhD (Children’s Minnesota) – Autism and mental health across the lifespan, co-occurring mental health concerns, and rural care barriers
• Nicole Berning, BCBA (MN Department of Human Services) – MA & TEFRA eligibility, waivers, and care coordination
• Dr. Jessica Simacek, PhD (TeleOutreach Center, University of Minnesota) – Telehealth consultation and supporting families awaiting services
• Ryann Beukema, Parent Advocate – A family’s autism journey and advocacy in southwest Minnesota
• Dr. Amber Bruns & Melissa Andree, BCBA (The READY Clinic) – Regional impact and expanding autism services
The READY to Connect Resource Fair is open attendees during the conference and to the public immediately following the conference and will feature area organizations and service providers offering direct support to families.
