🧡 Crafting Joy, One Card at a Time ✂️🎨

The wonderful craft ladies from Campbell United Methodist Church have blessed us with a beautiful new monthly activity—one that instantly took off with excitement and enthusiasm! Each month, Pauline Hoffman and her friends arrive with totes full of every supply imaginable, ready to guide us in creating heartfelt greeting cards for senior communities. It’s the same loving tradition they’ve shared with us for as long as we can remember, and we’re grateful beyond words.

I’m convinced at least a couple of these ladies were once schoolteachers—everything is so perfectly organized! From blank cards to pre-cut scrapbook shapes, die cuts, glue sticks, and fancy scissors, they think of every detail. ✂️📚

Our creative ladies love working with their hands and designing unique, thoughtful cards—but the activity is about so much more than crafting. It’s about the joy of giving, knowing that each handmade card will brighten someone’s day. It’s about the laughter, the learning, and the friendships that grow stronger each month. The church volunteers work side-by-side with us, calling us by name, and being fully present. 🤎

To the amazing women of Campbell United Methodist Church: thank you for your kindness, your friendship, and for inviting us into a mission that spreads joy far beyond our walls. We treasure our time together and look forward to each new month!

Then came Allie’s daughter Grace, taking the lead on “Stand by Me.” And WOW. 😍 What a voice—smooth, mesmerizing, and absolutely unforgettable. As Allie and Grace harmonized flawlessly, David Cook backed them up on electric bass, completing the musical moment.

Across our local communities, everyone knows and loves David—not only as the Therapy Director for Americare’s local senior communities, but as the guy who’s always smiling and ready to lend a hand. But did you know he’s also an accomplished musician? 🎸 His music career began in Branson performing with an Elvis show, while Allie—during her time traveling with Porter Wagoner—met Shoji Tabuchi and spent nearly a decade performing in his iconic show.

“Allie and I have played together for over 20 years,” David shares. “It all started on our church worship team. We’ve been to Nicaragua a few times playing music festivals, schools, and prisons. Grace has been in the band for a few years now.” ❤️

So when you watch David and Allie perform “Stand by Me,” you’ll know they have literally been standing by each other for two decades—sharing music, friendship, and unforgettable moments with every audience they meet.

They’ve done it again—treating us to yet another UNFORGETTABLE experience! 🎉🎶 We’re beyond thrilled that this band’s fall performance has become an annual tradition here at Ravenwood. Their music doesn’t just fill the room…it rocks the house! 🤘✨

Our fall party kicked off with the incredible Allie Hutsell, who had everyone spellbound as she belted out the rhythm-and-blues classic “Kansas City.” 🎤💙 Written by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller in 1952 and made famous by Wilbert Harrison in 1959, it’s a song that brings back memories—and Allie brings it to life like no one else. If you could hear her in person, you’d agree: she’s unmatched. The air practically crackled as this former vocalist from Branson’s Shoji Tabuchi Show transported us back in time. The crowd was movin’, groovin’, swaying, and singing along—pure magic. ✨

As their slogan says, “For Steak Lovers, By Steak Lovers.” 🥩❤️

For a week and a half, the forecast insisted on 95% rain for today. 🌧️😅 But we always take a “wait and see” approach—and look at that! Morning arrived and the rain was gone. 🙌☀️

So here we are, taking full advantage of a beautiful fall day and doing what we love: dining out! 🍂🍽️

Today’s choice? LongHorn Steakhouse. 🤠🥩

We absolutely adore the friendships among our residents and the way they look out for one another. 💛 While Oma made sure everyone got a straw 🥤, James was busy slicing the bread for her—and even buttering it. 🍞🧈 Aren’t they the best? 🥰

Fun Family Birthday Bunch 🎉👨‍👩‍👧‍👧💖

Oma is a humble, hardworking woman who has spent her life overcoming challenges with grace and strength. She’s accomplished so much—but we’re certain she would say her greatest achievements are her children. Her son and four lovely daughters each reflect her warmth, kindness, and thoughtful spirit. And as you can see from the photos, they’re a fun-loving bunch—just like their beautiful Mom! 😄💛✨

We couldn’t resist sharing some pictures from Oma’s 97th birthday celebration last year. Surrounded by her family, her heart was overflowing. As friends began entering the room, Oma joyfully exclaimed—loud enough for all to hear—

“These are my people!” 🤗💗

Her pride and happiness were unmistakable. Having her family around her was the greatest gift she could have asked for. 🎂🎈

What a treasure this family is—and what a joy to celebrate every year with them! 💕📸✨
