📣Calling Medical Students & Residents!📣 The Alabama Psychiatric Physicians Association is now accepting abstracts for the Resident/Medical Student Poster Contest in conjunction with the 2026 APPA Spring Conference, April 24–26 in Orange Beach, Alabama.

Accepted abstracts will be published on the APPA website and qualify as published abstracts for curriculum vitae. Posters will be judged during the conference, with awards presented to top submissions.

Residents and faculty from the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurobiology won second place at the Alabama Psychiatric Physicians Association spring meeting for their poster titled "Polydipsia with hyponatremia as a presenting symptom for a patient experiencing his first psychotic episode."

The poster's authors include Emma E. Cao, M.D., Galina Ostrovsky, M.D., Bradley Burk, PharmD, BCPP, Rachel E. Fargason, M.D., and Badari Birur, M.D.
