Hospice may be appropriate when you begin to notice:
• Frequent hospitalizations or ER visits
• Continued decline despite treatment
• Increased weakness, fatigue, or sleeping more
• Weight loss or decreased appetite
• Increasing symptoms such as pain or shortness of breath
• Cognitive decline or increased confusion
• Recurrent infections or complications

These signs often indicate a change in overall health and may support a transition to comfort-focused care.
