We would like to congratulate the Faulkner Baseball Team on an AWESOME season. The Eagles made it all the way to the 2021 Avista NAIA World Series. Unfortunately, Faulkner's run ended last week with a 15-10 loss to Georgia Gwinnett. We could not be prouder of our Faulkner Eagles ending its season at 40-12.

•Meet Josiah Yance, CRNP•

Josiah grew up in Dothan and played baseball, basketball, and football at Providence Christian School. His passion for baseball led him to play at a junior college in Georgia. He transferred his sophomore year to Stillman College where he continued his collegiate baseball career and majored in biology.

Due to his love for science, Josiah knew that he wanted to work in healthcare. Josiah knew that he wanted to help people, so he pursued a nursing degree. After graduating in 2013 he attended the accelerated nursing program at the University of South Alabama. He started his nursing career at Baptist South in the ER. Josiah also spent some time working at the Jackson Hospital ER while he worked my way through NP school. Josiah graduated in 2018 and began working as a hospitalist NP with TeamHealth at Baptist Hospital. He has always had a passion for sports. We are so excited to welcome Josiah to our SOS Sports Medicine Team.

Josiah has been married for almost 6 years. He and his beautiful wife have a two-year-old son together. In his free time, Josiah enjoys working out, trying new challenges such as Spartan races or triathlons, and spending time with my family.

#10 for Trinity Presbyterian School killed his off season knee surgery recovery. The majority of meniscus tears are degenerative and do not require surgery. A young cutting athlete with a radial, flap tear after a dynamic injury and large effusion is a different animal and probably is best treated with arthroscopy. First image is the meniscus flap tucked behind the tibia 👉🏼 next is the reduced tear showing the full extent with fraying 👉🏼 trimmed meniscal edge after small debridement to a smooth and stable border 👉🏼 Pre-op MRI showing the flipped tear adjacent to the MCL 👉🏼 The result of hard work and commitment ending in a deep playoff run, more than 100 tackles and an opportunity to start in the AL-MS Allstar game... the first at his school to do it.
