Many healthcare workers would like to move up to become registered nurses, but costs of the degree stop them. New apprenticeship programs are offering paid hands-on training while these workers pursue the RN degree.

This beautiful ornament now hangs on the ANHA Christmas tree thanks to Jacquelyn Cruse, an 85-year-old resident of Hatley Health Care, Inc. in Clanton. Jacquelyn crochets, knits and sews daily - and after hearing about our call for resident-made ornaments - made this especially for us. Thank you!

There are still a few days left to send ornaments. Deadline is December 16. Looking forward to seeing more!

It’s National Influenza Vaccination Week!

As respiratory illnesses rise during fall and winter, it’s more important than ever to protect those who live and work in long-term care. A simple step—getting this season’s flu vaccine—can significantly reduce the risk of illness and help keep residents healthy, active, and enjoying the moments that matter most.

Let’s work together to safeguard our communities. 💙
