One of our favorite self-help skills to practice is hand washing, and watching our friends master this independence milestone is SO rewarding. From learning to pump the soap to scrubbing those hands clean, every step is a celebration!

Hand washing is more than just hygiene—it's about building independence, following steps, and growing confidence. We love seeing our friends tackle this skill with joy and determination.💙

When our friends play catch, they're doing way more than having fun (though that's definitely happening too 😊). They're:

✨ Building hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills as they track the ball and position their hands
✨ Strengthening muscles in their arms, shoulders, hands, legs, and core
✨ Developing balance and postural control with every movement
✨ Learning in a natural, joyful way that feels like play, not therapy

At Time to Shine ABA, we love to play—AND we're constantly running programming and boosting skills in and outside of play. Every moment is an opportunity for growth!

We program from three main areas of focus:

🎨 Leisure Skills (games, crafts, creative play)
🧼 Self-Care Skills (hand washing, brushing teeth, getting dressed)
⭐ Milestone Skills (communication, matching, imitation, and so much more!)

This friend is working on matching—one of those foundational milestone skills that opens doors to learning and independence. 💚
