✨🎄 Holiday Cheer Has Officially Begun at Live Oak Senior Care! 🎄✨

We kicked off the festive season with a Christmas Tea Party Social, and it was a wonderful way to start spreading holiday joy.

Our residents enjoyed tea, hot chocolate, apple cider, and delicious Christmas cookies generously provided by St. Mary’s Altar Society — thank you for your kindness and holiday spirit!

Everyone had fun discovering their Elf Names and sharing favorite Christmas traditions, filling the room with laughter, memories, and plenty of cheer.

We’re looking forward to many more moments of joy this season!

Our residents had an absolute blast last week during our annual Turkey Trot, thanks to the wonderful Lake Creek High School Student Council who showed up dressed as the most delightful turkeys you’ve ever seen. 🦃🎉

Seeing our residents smile, laugh, and enjoy the moment reminded us just how much we have to be grateful for—especially the caring community that surrounds us.

🇺🇲Honoring Our Heroes This Veterans Day

Today, we had the privilege of celebrating Veterans Day here at Live Oak Senior Care with our incredible residents who have served our country. ❤️

A heartfelt thank you to our local VFW for joining us, sharing inspiring words, and reminding us all of the courage and sacrifice that protect our freedom. Each of our veteran residents was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation, a special pin, and a beautiful American flag scarf courtesy of the VFW.

It was a day filled with gratitude, pride, and community — a small token of appreciation for the heroes among us.

🌿🎬 Adventures at Live Oak Senior Care! 🎬🌿

This last week, our residents took a wild trip into the jungle — right from the comfort of our own theater! 🍃 We transformed our movie room into a lush rainforest, complete with hanging vines, a sparkling waterfall, and towering trees, for a special screening of Jumanji! 🐒🌴

Events like this aren’t just fun — they’re full of benefits for our residents! 🌟 Immersive experiences stimulate the senses, spark imagination, and encourage conversation and laughter. They also help boost memory recall, reduce stress, and promote a sense of adventure and community. ❤️

🎃👻 Getting in the Spirit of Halloween at Live Oak Senior Care! 👻🎃

Our residents had a spook-tacular time this week getting creative and festive! 🍂✨ We made pudding cup pumpkin patches for our crEATive snack (and yes, they were as delicious as they were cute!), played a fun dice game to design our own paper jack-o’-lanterns, and even got hands-on with some Halloween science experiments thanks to the wonderful Lake Creek Student Council! 🧪🧡

It’s always such a joy to see our residents’ creativity and laughter fill the room. We’re so grateful for the fun memories we’re making together this spooky season! 🎃💛

🚘🔥 Engines revved and memories rolled in! 🔥🚘

Live Oak Senior Care had a high-octane experience thanks to the amazing folks from the 105 Cruisers Classic Car Show! They cruised in with an impressive lineup of vintage rides that turned our parking lot into a mini car show straight out of the golden age of motoring. 🏁

Our residents had a blast checking out the chrome, curves, and craftsmanship—some even picked out their favorites and posed for pictures like true car show pros! 📸💪

Big thanks to the 105 Cruisers for sharing their wheels and their stories with us. With doughnuts in hand and coffee in the cup, it was the perfect fuel for a morning of fun, nostalgia, and horsepower!

🏀 Slam Dunks & Smiles at Live Oak! 🏀

We always have a ball at Live Oak Senior Care! Our amazing residents showed off their skills on the arcade-style basketball hoop—and let’s just say, there were plenty of slam dunks and even more laughter. 😄

Even our administrator couldn’t resist joining in on the fun! It was a great reminder that you're never too old to shoot some hoops and enjoy a little friendly competition. 🧡

Moments like these make Live Oak feel like home. 🏡💫

🌊🐠 Dive into the Deep! 🐠🌊

We transformed our theater into an underwater sensory wonderland — and what an adventure it was! 🐬✨

Residents enjoyed a fully immersive experience featuring glowing coral reefs, swaying seaweed, and even a few curious sharks swimming by. The sights, sounds, and atmosphere made us feel like we were truly under the sea! 🌊🎥

We sipped on refreshing "ocean water" 🌊💙 and snacked on Goldfish crackers 🐟 while watching a breathtaking undersea documentary that brought the beauty and mystery of the ocean right to our seats.

Thank you to our amazing staff for bringing this creative sensory experience to life — and to our residents for diving in with such enthusiasm! 🐢💙

🐷🎉 Fun at the Races at Live Oak Senior Care! 🎉🐷

We had an oink-tastic time this week with a special event brought to us in partnership with Gitte from Home Instead 💜

Our residents enjoyed the excitement of PIG RACES 🐖🐖🐖 — where three adorable toy pigs went snout-to-snout in a race to the finish line. The suspense was real, and everyone had a blast picking their favorite pig to win!

To add to the fun, we held a raffle drawing for a special Grand Prize Winner 🏆🎁 — congratulations to our lucky winner!

Big thanks to Gitte and Home Instead for bringing smiles, laughter, and unforgettable moments to our community. 💫

🍓 Sweet Moments at Live Oak! 🍓

We had such a special day thanks to our friends at Alamo Hospice, who treated our residents and staff to homemade strawberry shortcakes — and they were delicious! 😋❤️

But the fun didn’t stop there! A talented young gentleman joined us and played the hand drum, filling the room with joyful rhythms and relaxing melodies. 🥁🎶 Many of us even took our turn trying out the tongue drum — and had a blast making music together!

It was a beautiful afternoon filled with sweet treats, good music, and even better company. Thank you, Alamo Hospice, for making our day so memorable! 💐

🌸 Floral Fun at Live Oak! 🌸

We had a blooming good time this week at Live Oak Senior Care! A big thank you fleur and Decor, a lovely new local floral shop here in Montgomery, for stopping by and teaching our residents the art of floral design. 💐

Our residents absolutely loved getting creative with fresh flowers, learning new techniques, and making beautiful arrangements to brighten their rooms (and their smiles)! 💕✨

It was a day full of laughter, color, and community — and we’re so grateful to partner with local businesses that bring joy and beauty into our residents homes. Come back soon, Fleur and Decor! 🌿
