We had a wonderful time at our annual outing to the Walden Follies Show!

This special event is something we look forward to every year. Our residents enjoyed a delicious chef-inspired meal followed by a fun and entertaining variety show performed by the talented residents of the Walden neighborhood. The laughter, music, and community spirit made for such a memorable day!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped organize the show and all the details that go into making this event possible. We also appreciate everyone involved in helping get our residents there safely so they could enjoy such a fantastic experience.

We are so grateful to be part of such a caring and supportive community!

A Day of Strength, Faith, and Inspiration at Live Oak Senior Care!
We had the pleasure of welcoming two very special guests who spent time with our residents sharing powerful stories of strength, perseverance, and faith.
Our first guest, Lucus Strong, amazed everyone with incredible feats of strength like bending a horseshoe into a heart shape, tearing through stacks of phone books, and even balancing heavy axes to his nose. Beyond the impressive demonstrations, Lucas shared his personal journey and testimony of finding God, reminding us that true strength comes from faith and purpose.
Our second guest, Marcus Thompson, shared a deeply moving story of resilience. After being paralyzed in a car accident as a young man — just as he was building a promising football career — Marcus spoke openly about the challenges he faced and the strength he found through faith. His testimony of perseverance and hope touched many hearts.
We are so grateful for these meaningful moments that uplift, encourage, and inspire our residents. Thank you to our guests for sharing not only your strength, but your stories and faith with us.

Laissez les bons temps rouler! Today we celebrated Mardi Gras in true festive style! 🎉

We enjoyed delicious king cake, warm coffee, and lots of laughs! We also put our brains to work with trivia. word searches and word scrambles — and of course, we listened to lively music that had everyone smiling and tapping their toes! 🎶

It was a wonderful afternoon filled with fun and festive spirit. We love creating joyful moments and sweet memories together! 💜

Today we had an absolute blast playing our favorite game — Dirty Laundry!

We pass around a laundry basket filled with silly wearable items while music plays. When the music stops, whoever is holding the basket has to put on whatever they pull out! From goofy hats to outrageous accessories, the outfits just kept getting better — and the laughter was nonstop!

The best part? Our friends from the local Young Men’s Service League joined in on the fun today! It’s always so special when different generations come together to share smiles and make memories.

Thank you to these amazing young men for bringing energy, kindness, and lots of laughs to our residents. Days like this are what it’s all about!

We are incredibly grateful to the Sons of the American Revolution – Freedom Chapter for honoring our Veterans with anniversary pins and certificates in celebration of the 250th Anniversary of America.

It was a meaningful and patriotic moment as we recognized the service, sacrifice, and dedication of the Veterans who call our community home. Thank you to the Freedom Chapter for taking the time to remember and honor those who have given so much for our country.

We are proud to celebrate our Veterans—yesterday, today, and always.

🐥🐧 Double the fun with Ducks and Penguins!🐧🐥

Last week we celebrated National Rubber Ducky Day withh a memory-matching game using adorable rubber duckies dressed like cowboys! 🤠- lots of smiles and great concentration!

Today was Penguin Awareness Day, and that meant our annual Polar Plunge 🧊🐧 Our residents bravely reached into the icy water to rescue the penguins before the timer ran out. There was a little hesitation at first, but even more courage, laughter, and cheering once the games began! With the cold weather coming up, we also sent everyone home with warm mittens to stay cozy. 🧤

These activities aren't just fun- they help with memory, focus, strength, sensory stimulation, confidence, and social connection. So proud of our brave residents and the joy we share everyday!

We’d like to send a big THANK YOU to Cathy from Heartland Transit for hosting our Friday morning snack social! 🍪☕ She spoiled us with delicious cookies and pastries from Montgomery Bakehouse, and our residents absolutely loved them.

Heartland Transit provides a much-needed service in our community, offering non-emergency transportation with wheelchair accessibility for those who need it. We are so grateful for partners like Kathy and Heartland Transit who help keep our residents connected and supported. 💚

A few of our residents had the joy of making and putting together special gifts for the City of Montgomery Police Department, Texas They were proudly presented to a few of our police officers today in honor of Law Enforcement Appreciation Day as a small thank-you for all they do to keep our community safe. We are so grateful for your service! 🚓💙
