Last weekend in Perry County, community came FIRST.

On April 11th, COSA was proud to stand as a sponsor for Family Fun & Resource Day. It was a day filled with connection, laughter, and access to valuable resources for families across the community.

There were many fun-filled moments and meaningful conversations. Events like this remind us that when we show up together, we build stronger, healthier communities.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, connected with COSA, and made the day so impactful!

Impaired driving is a serious danger, especially with underage drinking. As a parent or caregiver, it’s important to be able to answer our kid’s tough questions. Talk openly with your child about the risks of impaired driving, and set clear expectations.

Let’s work together to keep our kids safe. Learn how: samhsa.gov/talk-they-hear-you

We’re excited to see WSFA-TV 12 News highlighting the impact of our “Talk It Out: Va**ng Laws & Mental Health Forum”. These forums are creating space for real conversations that educate, empower, and protect our community.

At COSA, we believe awareness and open dialogue are key to prevention, especially as va**ng continues to impact youth and mental health. This forum brought together voices committed to making a difference and equipping families with the knowledge and resources they need.

A special shoutout to Behavioral Health Prevention Specialist, Na'Sha McFarley, for representing this work and helping lead meaningful conversations that matter.

Behind every prevention effort is a woman with a story, a purpose, and a passion to make a difference. As Women’s History Month comes to a close, we’re reminded that this work doesn’t stop. It lives on in every conversation, every connection, and every community we serve.

The women of COSA continue to lead, uplift, and redefine what prevention looks like...EVERY single day. We honor the past, stand strong in the present, and build a future that’s better because of the work we do TOGETHER.

This is more than a moment…this is a legacy. And the legacy continue because we do.
