Freedom of choice, baby! 😎

You absolutely have the right to labor at home as long as you need to before arriving at the hospital, or your birth center, or stay at home, if that’s what you want.

You also have the freedom to choose to come to the hospital early if that’s where you feel safest.

What matters is that you are aware of your choices and empowered to choose what fits your values and needs for yourself and your family.

If we had a system that respected women’s right to make medical decisions for themselves, then women might not feel the need to avoid and wait until the very last moment before arriving at the medical facility. Just saying. 😉

It was a great day to be outside!! ☀️

Sometimes we need to take our vitamins and get a little sunshine to get out of a funk.

That can help, but more than anything we need each other. ✨People need people.

Four years ago we made a big move across the country to my husband's new job in Alabama. We have four kids, and my youngest was six months old at the time.

I didn’t have any local connections to speak of. I started struggling with some postpartum anxiety/ depression.

I’m grateful for the steps that led me to finding my kind of people. 💕 The last four years have been so full of kind and loving people and friendships!

Today I am grateful. I am well. I’m not alone.

La clima es muy bonita, es una temporada para sembrar unas plantas!
Y más tarde voy a la casa de una cliente para apoyarla con su recién nacida para que ella puede dormir. 👩🏻‍🍼

He estado trabajando mucho (y mi patio no está perfecto 🫣) pero disfruto del ambiente de primavera!

The weather is very nice, it’s the season to plant some plants!

And later I’m going to support a family with a newborn for an overnight postpartum shift so the parents can get some sleep! ☺️.

I’ve been working a lot (and my yard is not perfect 🫣) but I’m enjoy the spring atmosphere!
