This seems like something most people can pull off on their day off …

How about 5 daily practices you do anyway, combined with mindfulness

1. Movement, you have to get from A to Z, you don’t need an hour of exercise everyday, just move, a little everyday.

2. Meaningful interactions, drop the office “how are you?” “I’m fine” platitudes, but really spend time to connect with another human, you will be amazed how this makes you feel.

3. Mindful eating, food is love, it draws families and cultures together, stop treating it as just fuel and slow down to really taste, see, and experience the texture of what you’re consuming.

4. Music & art, learn to listen to your inner creative, take your mind off the pressure and stress of life and let your imagination make you feel like a kid again.

5. Meditation & prayer, just 30-60 seconds of deep breathing can make a world of difference. You don’t have to believe in God to pray, just in something bigger than you. Think of meditation as passive and praying as active.

You don’t need to change what you do everyday, just change how you focus on it.

Universal Art for Self Discovery (UAFSD) is a powerful approach to relieving, physical, and emotional suffering within people of all ages by addressing one's personal discomfort and emotional distress. UAFSD is incoroprates a new innovative fusion of several ancient and modern techniques. UAFSD encompasses the usage of positive psychology and cognitive behavioral psychology through creative expression; this bein through: art making, focused compassion exercises, meditation, visualization, synchronicity as defined by Karl Jung, symbolism and collaborative learning. As of 2017, a new mechanism has been added to UAFSD, Movement therapy, yoga or dance, now goes alongside the original Expressive art therapy, Massage Therapy & body works. UAFSD offers a path which can be used alone or in conjunction with other healing arts and sciences. UAFSD intensifies and accelerates the experience of self discovery which leads to healing.
