Easing into Reentry
“Redeemed: A Recovery Story” with Jocelynn James, Founder of The Place of Grace

Jocelynn is the founder of The Place Of Grace, a faith-based women’s recovery home. After overcoming opioid addiction and turning herself in to law enforcement in 2013, she felt called to help other women find freedom. Since then, she has helped over 3,000 women on their recovery journey. Today, The Place of Grace houses up to 20 women, providing structure, employment support, and life-skills training for lasting transformation.

What you’ll take away:

1. No one is too far gone - real transformation is possible through faith, surrender, and support.
2. Purpose can be born from pain - your story can become the very thing that helps others find hope and healing.

These conversations bring together lived experience and practical insight - emphasizing what it truly takes to support individuals during reentry.

See a possible opioid overdose?
Make a difference. Make the call.

More than 105,000 Americans lost their lives to drug overdoses in 2023 and over 80% involved opioids.

In many of these cases, someone was there.

In fact, 3 in 5 people who died from an overdose had an opportunity to be connected to care or life-saving action. And nearly 40% of overdose deaths happen with a bystander present.

That means lives can be saved with awareness and action.

In Alabama, the Good Samaritan Law (HB208) helps protect those who call for help in an overdose situation. Fear should never stand in the way of saving a life.

📞 If you see the signs of an overdose, call 911 immediately. Your call could save a life.
