Over the weekend, Montgomery Kidney Specialists took part in the Alabama Kidney Foundation’s annual Kidney Walk, held at Riverwalk Stadium, and had the opportunity to reconnect with transplant patients and share their stories. They are truly inspirational!

This is what Ms. Leslie had to say,

“2025 AKF Kidney Walk…. An amazing cause and organization. The Alabama Kidney Foundation is an excellent organization. While I was on dialysis, AKF was a very vital part of my journey. The support I gained from them was tremendous. Today was exceptional. I met many people with similar stories and was even able to encourage a young lady and her mother who had just started dialysis. I also reunited with my kidney docHari Venu Venu, who was one of my biggest cheerleaders and the greatest doctor ever, as well as friends, and I even saw some former coworkers. I will always believe that my journey has reason, and today was the evidence of it. A big thank you to AKF!! (Peep out the purple sneakers as a tribute to May as Lupus Month” Le Chelle Leslie
