Thank you to Eastmont's Women on Mission!

Today we had the opportunity to give a tour of our East location to this incredible group and share how we walk alongside families from pregnancy through their child’s first two years and beyond, offering support, education, and encouragement every step of the way.

They also brought wonderful donations for our baby store, including clothes, blankets, bottles, wipes, bath items, toys, and many other baby essentials. Their generosity means so much to the families we serve.

It was truly a joy to host them and share more about the work we do at First Choice. Thank you again for coming today and for your generous support of the families we serve!

These moments capture exactly why we do what we do. 💙

We absolutely adore this Elmore County family! We have loved getting to know them through our parenting classes before their precious little girl was born. It meant so much to see them return and proudly show her off to us! 💗

Our faithful volunteer, Anna, was there with open arms to help as they shopped in the baby store. Moments like this remind us how important the work we do truly is and the positive impact it has on families. 🧷

Thank you to everyone who supports First Choice and helps us serve families like this one. Your support makes a lasting difference for parents and their little ones. 🍼

We absolutely adore these high school sweethearts. 💙

The words she shared about her husband are exactly why we do what we do:

“You do not understand, First Choice is our family. It was the first time someone ever reached out to him.”

We stand in awe of how much the Lord is doing through our Fatherhood Program. Lives are being strengthened. Families are being restored. Men are being reminded that they matter.

We will continue reaching out to every man and every family who walks through our doors.

We love this family and are so honored to witness their journey. 💙

What a truly wonderful evening at Trinity Presbyterian Church! Thank you so much for inviting us to be part of your Missions Market—it was such a joy and an honor to join you.

We were so encouraged by the warm welcome, thoughtful conversations, and genuine interest in the work being done. Your heart for missions was evident throughout the entire evening.

We are deeply grateful for your partnership and generous support. The work we do simply would not be possible without faithful community partners and churches like yours. Thank you for standing with us, believing in this mission, and making a lasting impact alongside us.

Last week, our staff had the opportunity to step away for a special one-day retreat focused on rest and renewal. We’re so grateful to one of our generous supporters who hosted us and to for making this meaningful day possible.

It was a rich time of encouragement, team building, and time spent in God’s Word together. A special thank you to Ken Roach for leading us so thoughtfully as we learned more about ourselves, more about one another, and more about the Lord.

What a beautiful day by the lake—filled with reflection, connection, and restoration. We are so thankful for the time set apart to be refreshed together! 💙

We are so excited to officially welcome Melanie Pace to our board! Melanie is no stranger to our organization - she has been a dedicated volunteer for quite some time. Throughout her time with us, she has built meaningful connections with both our staff and clients, who already absolutely adore her.

Q: How long have you lived in Montgomery?
A: I have been married to Kevin for thirty years. I am the mother (best job in the world) to two girls, Lauren and Melissa.

Q: Where do you attend church?
A: I am a member of First Baptist Church Montgomery where I am blessed to sing in the adult choir, play handbells, teach 5th grade Sunday School, and play piano for several choirs.

Q: How did you become involved with First Choice?
A: I have been a volunteer (receptionist) at First Choice for one and a half years. What a blessing to be part of this kingdom work!

We are overjoyed to introduce Hollie Harmon as one of our newest board members!

Q: How long have you lived in Montgomery?
A: I was born in Montgomery and have lived here most of my life.

Q: Where do you attend church?
A: I am a lifelong member of Trinity Presbyterian Church where I serve on the Women's council and teach Bible studies and devotionals.

Q: How did you become involved with First Choice?
A: Since my early adult years I have held to pro-life beliefs and have always agreed with ministries that worked to promote this belief. I appreciate the "boots on the ground" ministry of First Choice that goes beyond saving babies to ministering to the parents, including the fathers, to meet their needs in Gospel-driven and practical ways. After years of my support of First Choice being limited to attending banquets and writing checks, I look forward to being more involved through serving on the First Choice Board.

Q: What do you hope to contribute as a board member?
A: As a board member, I hope to listen and learn well, help strengthen the organization's outreach, perhaps from my experience with education and administration, and support the mission of caring well for women and families in our community.

Q: What is a fun fact about you?
A: I am an Auburn University alum and married to attorney Bart Harmon since 1986. My past work experience includes serving as a speech pathologist and more recently, as a teacher and administrator of Eastwood Christian School. My husband and I have five children and "quite a few" grandchildren.

What We Do

At First Choice, we believe the best way to end abortion is to come alongside the women and men facing unplanned pregnancies and offer physical, emotional, and spiritual support. We provide free and confidential pregnancy testing, ultrasound confirmation, peer counseling, parenting education, and material support. We also offer post abortion help and healing through Bible Study.
