Medical Minute with Dr. Garnett
Plantar fasciitis is one of the most common causes of heel pain, often caused by inflammation of the thick band of tissue that connects your heel bone to your toes. It can develop from overuse, poor footwear, or spending long hours on your feet. Early signs include sharp heel pain in the morning or after periods of rest. Treatment may include stretching exercises, supportive footwear, orthotics, or other conservative therapies to relieve discomfort and prevent flare-ups.

Medical Minute with Dr. Garnett
Hammertoe is a foot condition where one or more of the smaller toes bend abnormally at the middle joint, causing the toe to curl downward instead of pointing straight. It often develops from muscle and tendon imbalance, which can be worsened by wearing tight or ill-fitting shoes.
You can treat moderate hammertoe holistically with toe separators, shoe modification, or lifestyle changes. Dr. Garnett is accepting new patients and wants to get you back on your feet!
