Meet Kassie Hannigan, PTA, a valued member of our Montgomery Nursing & Rehabilitation Center team since 2021. 👏

Kassie discovered her passion for physical therapy right here at MNRC while shadowing clinicians as a student, and that spark turned into a rewarding career filled with purpose and heart. She’s known for her dedication, gentle encouragement, and the warm, welcoming presence she brings to residents every day.

Outside of work, Kassie treasures time with her daughter, enjoys trying new restaurants with her husband, and loves staying connected with family and friends.

We’re grateful for everything she brings to our community! 💙

In honor of National Nurse Practitioner Week, we’re proud to spotlight Kim Darrigo, ANP-C, a valued member of our Montgomery Nursing & Rehabilitation Center team. 💙

Kim’s journey in nursing began at age 20, and her passion for caring for others has guided her through every step of her career. Along the way, she earned her Associate’s, BSN, and Master’s/ANP degrees, and today, she continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.

Kim shares that the residents here feel like her extended family, and caring for them is one of the most rewarding parts of her day.

Gratitude is in full bloom at Montgomery Nursing & Rehabilitation Center! 🌿✨

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, residents shared what they’re most thankful for and added their responses to our beautiful Seasonal Gratitude Tree displayed in the main dining room.

From family and faith to friendships and even the latest Bingo wins, their heartfelt messages remind us how much joy can be found in life’s simple blessings. 💛

Each season, this tree transforms — just like the spirit of our community — continuing to celebrate hope, love, and connection all year long. 🍂

Happy Veterans Day once again from Montgomery Nursing & Rehabilitation! ❤️🤍💙

Yesterday, our residents enjoyed a heartfelt musical tribute to our nation’s heroes, performed by the talented Nick Pfeister (Nick on the Keys).

From the U.S. Armed Forces March Medley to other patriotic classics, every note echoed with pride and gratitude. 🎵✨

We also took time to honor our 10 resident Veterans, reading each name and branch aloud as cheers filled the room, with seven of our heroes proudly in attendance.

Residents received reminiscent wartime posters as keepsakes, a touching reminder of courage, service, and unity.

It was a beautiful day of reflection, music, and appreciation for all who have served, supported, and sacrificed for our freedom. 🇺🇸

This morning, we proudly honored our resident military veterans with heartfelt appreciation. ❤️💙

Each veteran received a thank-you card and a Veterans Appreciation Pin as a small token of our gratitude for their service and sacrifice.

It was a morning filled with smiles, stories, and pride as we celebrated their courage and contributions to our country. 🇺🇸✨

Last Wednesday was a day filled with creativity and smiles at Montgomery Nursing & Rehabilitation Center! 💕

Residents enjoyed a double dose of artistic expression, beginning with a relaxing watercolor class led by Dorian, followed by an inspiring Stamping Club session with Stacey. 🎨🖋️

These hands-on activities do more than bring joy; they encourage fine motor skills, stimulate memory, and promote social connection, all while helping residents express themselves in meaningful ways.

Some joined their favorite session, while others stayed for both and enjoyed twice the fun! It was truly a day filled with color, creativity, and companionship. 🌸

Happy (Official) National Doughnut Day!

Our Montgomery team enjoyed a tasty morning filled with fresh apple cider, pumpkin, raspberry-filled, and powdered cake doughnuts from our local farmer’s market — and they were an absolute hit! 😋

It was the perfect fall treat to brighten everyone’s day and bring a little extra sweetness to the week.

We love moments like these that remind us how much joy can come from sharing something simple (and delicious) together! 🍁☕

Yesterday, our residents enjoyed a little pampering and a lot of joy thanks to our wonderful Front Desk Receptionist, Jasmine, who also lends her creative talents to our Activities team! ✨

From manicures to meaningful conversations, Jasmine makes every session special, even customizing nail designs to match our residents’ personalities and hobbies. Agnes V., an avid card player, was thrilled with her “deck of cards” manicure! 🃏❤️

We’re so grateful for Jasmine’s kindness, creativity, and the happiness she brings to our community. Our residents absolutely love their time with her! 💕
