February is known as the month of love, but a lot of that focus goes outward. A Month of Self-Love is an invitation to bring some of that care back to yourself. It’s not about fixing anything or doing more. It’s about paying attention to how your body feels as you move through your days, your relationships, and your inner world. When you practice meeting yourself with safety, compassion, and honesty, self-love becomes something you live, not something you perform. And from that place, it creates more capacity to show up with care for others too.

Each week will focus on a different aspect of self-love. We intentionally work with the same theme throughout the week because the nervous system responds best to simplicity and repetition. Returning to the same practice helps your body recognize it, settle, and build trust. The repetition is the work.

I almost skipped my walk this morning. Even on the walk, my mind was focused on complaining and trying to skip the inclines I normally challenge myself with.

I decided to use music to help me focus. As I reached for my headphones, a question came to mind: Do I really need music or am I just avoiding being present with what’s arising?

I knew the answer, so I put my headphones away and allowed myself to be curious about what was arising within. This is one way I strengthen the mind-body connection and ground myself in the present. Regulating the nervous system to help nurture capacity and resilience.
