Haynie Family Continues Speech Scholarship
Becky Haynie (center) recently visited Easterseals Central Alabama to present Debbie Lynn, Executive Director (left), and Kathy Welch, Speech Therapist (right), with a donation check from the John Howard Haynie family. This continues the scholarship fund founded in her son John Howard Haynie’s name.
Parents of children in need of speech therapy can now benefit from financial assistance for private pay co-pays, and annual deductibles, making services more accessible. This generous yearly donation, now in its fifth year, enables families with private or no insurance to apply for up to $250 in services, easing the financial burden of multiple co-pays and annual deductibles. This initiative aims to support families facing speech therapy needs and private pay challenges. Funds are available on a first come, first served basis until funds are depleted.

If a family suspects a speech delay, they should request a referral from their physician/pediatrician.
