The Sickle Cell Foundation’s Board of Directors and Staff participated in the Sickle Cell Foundation’s 33rd Radio-thon hosted by Rosco Miller’s 94.1 FM Big KD radio station, held on Thursday and Friday, September 25 and 26, 2025, from 6:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M., located at 2424 East South Boulevard, Montgomery, AL 36116.

Ms. Beverly Freeman participated in a blood drive from 6:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. and from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M., on Thursday, September 18, 2025 hosted by Hyundai Glovis and LifeSouth Community Blood Bank, located at 300 Hyundai Boulevard, Montgomery, AL 36105, where over 100 individuals donated blood.

Mr. Eddie McKinney and Ms. Monica VanDiver attended the Run with Friends 5K, hosted as a fundraiser for the Sickle Cell Foundation of Greater Montgomery, Inc. by the Omega Psi Phi, Iota Iota Chapter, on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Montgomery Union Station Train Shed, located at 210 Water Street, Montgomery, AL 36107, from 7:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M., with 200 persons in attendance.

Ms. Beverly Freeman attended a family retreat on Saturday, September 6, from 8:30 A.M. – 12:00 noon, sponsored by Children of Alabama, where there were over 15 Sickle Cell families that gathered in attendance for guidance and fellowship with other Sickle Cell Disease clients who are dealing with this dreadful condition.
