Our staff gathered for a special early Thanksgiving potluck lunch, and it was a heartwarming way to kick off the holiday season. Everyone brought a favorite dish to share, filling the table with delicious food, great conversation, and plenty of gratitude.

A huge thank-you to Morningside House for generously donating some Thanksgiving themed baskets as a special treat for our team — your kindness added even more joy to our celebration! 💛

We’re so grateful for our incredible staff and the community partners who support them. Moments like these remind us how lucky we are to work alongside such dedicated, caring people.

Montgomeryville Skilled Nursing and Rehab staff enjoyed a sweet and spirited Pie Contest, bringing in their favorite pies for everyone to taste and enjoy. After trying all the tasty entries, the fan-favorite Dirt Pudding Pie came out on top!

Thanks to all who joined in and added a little extra sweetness to our day. 💛

November is National Gratitude Month. 💛

We’re feeling especially thankful for our community partners who support and uplift our residents every day!

Over the past week at Montgomeryville Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, our residents honored our veterans with a beautiful Veterans Day celebration thanks to Ennoble Hospice. They enjoyed a happy hour with a fun, flavorful fall mocktail and dessert with the help of Vitality Hospice. We also had an energetic and exhilarating exercise group led by our guest instructor, Lazarus.

All of these special moments were made possible by the compassion and talent of our community partners. Thank you for being part of our community and helping us create moments of joy all month long! 💛

Staff Spotlight: Meet Kris!

Kris’s passion for cooking started prior to graduating high school. After enlisting in the U.S. Army, he served as a Food Service Specialist, completing a year-long tour in Korea and earning both the Army Achievement Medal and the Quartermaster Medal for Outstanding Performance in Culinary Arts. 👏

After his service in the Army, Kris continued his culinary journey at The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College in Philadelphia, earning an Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts. Though he’s worked in numerous restaurants and country clubs, his heart belongs in healthcare food service. For Kris, cooking in this setting is deeply fulfilling, as it allows him to care for others and find gratitude in making a positive impact each day. 💛

This Veterans Day, we proudly honor Kris for his service, his talent, and his dedication to our community!

Welcome to Montgomeryville Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center! 👋

Our facility features spacious rooms in three units: short-term rehab, long-term care unit, and memory care unit. We also offer a 6-chair dialysis den managed by DaVita Dialysis that currently has openings for Monday, Wednesday, and Friday scheduling. Our facility's therapy department features all three disciplines: Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech Therapy and has wonderful patient outcomes. We also have a full-time Respiratory Therapist on staff. Our outstanding nursing team allows us to take patients with life vests, milrinone drips, and tracheostomies, to name a few.

Halloween fun for our residents all day long: staff costume contest (judged by our residents), resident trick-or-treating through the building, and a party to complete the day of revelry. Tune in next week to see posts of all costumes and festivities and have a boo-tiful Halloween!

Pictured with Ed is our Rehab Director, Mark Rawling, and our Administrator, Jonathon Weiland. Ed has excelled in his role as our physical therapist for 16 years, exhibiting both a caring and compassionate attitude towards his work while providing a high level of quality care to our patients. As you can see, Ed has an infectious smile, and team members feel he has outstanding listening skills. Always ready to assist other staff members, Ed also exemplifies dedication in our therapy department to maximize functional outcomes for our patients.
