Are you suffering from seasonal allergies?

Ahoo!! Sniffle Sniffle!

According to TCM, a person who suffers from allergies generally has a deficiency of Wei Qi, making them more susceptible to Wind invasions.

Acupuncture treatment might focus, for example, on strengthening the lungs and spleen, which helps to build the Wei Qi backup. Which will get rid of those sniffles 😉

Acupuncture for immunity in Spring

Acupuncture may help support overall health and well-being during spring when many people experience allergies, colds, and other respiratory issues. Acupuncture can help to reduce inflammation, improve circulation, and promote relaxation, all of which can be beneficial for supporting immune function.

In addition, acupuncture may help reduce stress and inflammation in the body, which can negatively impact immune function. By promoting relaxation and reducing inflammation, acupuncture can support the body's natural defenses against illness.

If you are considering acupuncture for immunity during the spring season, it is important to consult with a licensed acupuncturist at the who can evaluate your specific needs and develop a personalized treatment plan.

“I’m so stressed out!”
“I feel anxious all the time and can’t relax.”

These statements are all too common nowadays.
With so much mental strain and pressure in our daily lives, using acupuncture for stress and anxiety relief is the foundation for emotional balance and physical health.

Most people don’t automatically think of getting acupuncture for stress relief. Being stuck with needles might not intuitively seem like a relaxing scenario. However, you might be surprised to learn that stress relief is one of the things acupuncture excels at.

Acupuncture is a form of Traditional Chinese Medicine that has been used for thousands of years to promote overall health and wellness. In the context of spring, acupuncture may be particularly beneficial for a few reasons:

🌸Balancing Energy: According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, spring is associated with the liver and gallbladder meridians, which are responsible for the smooth flow of energy throughout the body. Acupuncture can help to balance these meridians and promote the free flow of energy, which can help to alleviate feelings of stagnation, irritability, and mood swings that can sometimes accompany the transition from winter to spring.

🌸Seasonal Allergies: Spring is also known as allergy season for many people, and acupuncture can help to alleviate symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, and itchy eyes by reducing inflammation and regulating the immune system.

🌸Boosting Immunity: Acupuncture can also help to boost the immune system, which can be particularly beneficial during seasonal transitions when the body may be more susceptible to illness.

✅It's important to note that while acupuncture can be helpful in promoting health and wellness during the spring season, it's always a good idea to consult with a licensed acupuncturist or healthcare professional to determine if acupuncture is right for you and your individual health needs.

Traditional Chinese Medicine, TCM, is an ancient healing system that seeks balance through various treatment modalities to establish a healthy state of both body and mind.

I practice not only acupuncture but moxibustion, cupping, herbs, gua sha, and other modalities to achieve positive results in improving clients' overall physical and mental health.

Whether you are experiencing sleep issues, headaches, digestive concerns, depression, pain, or more, Chinese Medicine can treat the symptoms and get to the root of the imbalance.

Interesting fact: According to the World Health Organization, over 28 health conditions can be effectively treated with acupuncture. Give it a try!!

More and more Americans and physicians have been finding acupuncture helpful, especially for back and neck pain, osteoarthritis/knee pain, and headaches, including migraines.

Does It Work⁉️

According to the National Institute of Health (NIH), several studies suggest acupuncture works particularly well on chronic pain such as back and neck pain, osteoarthritis/knee pain, and headaches.

✅It often reduces the incidence and severity of tension headaches and may prevent migraines.

“Therefore,” the NIH concludes, “acupuncture appears to be a reasonable option for people with chronic pain to consider.”

❌Stress, Chronic Fatigue, and Burnout

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, health can be defined as the perfect balance of yin and yang in the body. Meaning:
Organs work well.
The mind and emotions are stable.
People can live harmoniously with themselves and their families.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine theory, yin and yang are interdependent. This means that when the yin levels have been burned up through lack of sleep, mental activity, or worry, or the yang levels depleted through an excessive lifestyle, overwork, or physical activity, the body will collapse.

Tiredness becomes fatigued, fatigue becomes weariness, and all those states can lead to conditions like exhaustion, chronic fatigue, and burnout.

What to do⁉️
✅Try acupuncture. It works well to restore the body to health, slowly building back essential yin and yang, qi, and blood levels. As we strengthen the body, we also work to calm the mind and stabilize the emotions allowing you to make the necessary changes to prevent it from happening again.
