With power outages expected from the winter storm, here are some tips on how you can stay warm when the power is out:
🪟Close blinds or curtains to keep in some heat.
🚪Close off rooms to avoid wasting heat.
👕🧥Wear layers of loose- fitting, lightweight, warm clothing.
🥤Eat and drink. Food provides energy to warm the body. Avoid caffeine and alcohol.
🚪Stuff towels in cracks under doors to help insulate your home.

Lifeguard Ambulance is honored to be a dependable partner in public safety for the communities we serve. Last night the power of our organizations 392 helicopters was utilized when all of our local helicopters were on active missions, and one of our sister helicopters from another area happened to be in the area. They accepted the flight, and helped us transport our patient to an appropriate medical facility. This is our commitment in action.

Collaborations are at the heart of our organization. Today, our Med 1, Med 2, and EMS 1 units, together with Lawrence County and Monticello first responders, responded to an accident requiring helicopter transport. Our partner Air Care met us to assume patient care and transport to a trauma facility. The strong community bonds, paired with the valuable resources provided by Global Medical Response, have a significant impact on saving lives.

Shhhhh come close. We have something to tell you.

We love serving our community, and meeting all of you, but we don’t want to have to meet you on turkey day, well because of a turkey. Please follow all the safety tips for deep frying a turkey! Us and the fire department are available but you probably don’t want to see us because you put a frozen turkey in the fryer and it went boom.

Have a great Thanksgiving and if you do see our crews out and about tomorrow make sure you tell them thank you for setting aside their family time to serve yours. Like we said- we love serving our community.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Bobby and Janice Herring for feeding our on-duty crew a delicious Thanksgiving meal. They brought an entire spread of Turkey, broccoli cheese casserole, cornbread dressing, gravy, rolls, and a pie! Our crews were truly thankful.
