Tuesday February 17th marks the lunar new year of the fire horse!
🐎 The fire horse year only happens every 60 years, and favors a time of creativity, ambitiousness, and change. However- with the high fire energy be careful not to be impatient or burnout.

Here are the top things to avoid on New Year’s Day for a prosperous 2026:
🔥 Do not sweep or take out trash
🔥 Do not get a hair cut
🔥 Avoid borrowing or lending money
🔥 Stay positive and avoid using. negative language or toxic situations
🔥 Do not have porridge for breakfast
🔥 Avoid wearing black/white clothing

A departure from our usual raffles and giveaways for this holiday season…

With the recent government shut down impacting many of our community members with zero or reduced SNAP and HEAP benefits going into the upcoming months we would like to help in some small way.

O’Keefe Holistic Health will be assembling a Thanksgiving dinner to raffle off to a family in need. If you or someone you know would otherwise be unable to enjoy a holiday meal this year, please message me privately to nominate them. I will be accepting nominations until end of day November 12th.

I will not be announcing who wins on here, and will contact the family directly to deliver their meal. 🧡

O’Keefe Holistic Health will be closed at 3:00 on Wednesday October 22nd and reopen for normal hours Monday November 3rd. To accommodate everyone’s appointment needs I will be open for regular hours on Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples Day Monday October 13th.

Did you know one of the most common reasons for receiving acupuncture treatments in the US is for back pain?

In 2024 a study published on acupuncture found that patients with back pain- specifically degenerative lumbar spinal stenosis- who received treatments for 6 weeks (18 sessions) had a 43% improvement in pain levels compared to a placebo that lasted up to 24 weeks!
