You probably don't need to take much vitamin D. Focus on diet and exercise instead!

For a long time, vitamin D has been perceived as a magic bullet, a panacea, and a cure-all for many chronic health conditions.

If you are a healthcare worker who is burned out or traumatized, please call me!

As of this morning, over 30% of adult Vermonters have received at least one dose. All the most vulnerable, those 65 and older and anyone with certain health conditions, are eligible. Today, I am announcing the remaining schedule for when EVERY adult will be able to sign up.

By April 19th, EVERY SINGLE Vermonter 16+ will be able to schedule their appointments. Now, to be clear, these are the dates folks will be able to sign up. It doesn’t mean everyone be fully vaccinated by then.

Depending on which vaccine you receive, as a reminder, fully vaccinated means two weeks after your last dose. So, a good way to think about it is that everyone in each age band will have the opportunity to be fully vaccinated about two months after their band opens.

So, everyone in the final age band could be finished in June, which is why I’ve used the 4th of July as a marker for when things will feel somewhat normal again.

And by the way, normal to me isn’t a small cookout in your back yard with a couple of friends, it’s when things will feel similar to pre-pandemic.

To put a finer point on it - for our high school seniors -this timeline means that in June, if we have the vaccination uptake we need, you should be able to have a more traditional graduation and celebrate what you’ve accomplished with your friends and family.

After seeing the second half of your junior year and now senior year turned upside down, you deserve it, and we’re going to do everything we can to make it happen.

Coronavirus is going to get worse before it gets better. Please continue to wear masks and socially distance per health department guidance. I have gotten many calls about the vaccine. Given the shortages across the country, it is unlikely that I will have any in the near future. If you have the opportunity to get vaccinated elsewhere, please do not hesitate to do so. If and when I do have vaccines I will call people in the order of their eligibility. In the meantime, stay safe and be well.

Central Vermont, COVID is back with a vengeance. Wear your mask, social distance and stay home whenever possible. We can help to make sure that the hospital emergency departments are not overwhelmed. If we all go our part we can get back to where we were a month ago. If you need anything don't hesitate to reach out and I'd be glad to talk with you.
-Jeff
Ps. Wear your mask!

How We Are Different

We are an independent, locally owned family practice focused on keeping you healthy. We provide a personal relationship between you and your provider. We work to find the underlying cause for illness, we do not just treat symptoms. Our approach is holistic, a partnership between you and your family practitioner.

There are a lot of choices about where to get healthcare. What sets us apart is the relationships that we form with patients. Getting to know you and your family allows us to give you the best care.

In a small family practice we have time to spend with you when you need it most. This practice was born with the idea that the standard 5-10 minute appointments done at most offices are not good for anyone. We have an unhurried approach during most visits. We want to make sure that you leave with all the answers you need and a comprehensive plan to meet your goals.
