There is a massive difference between "normal" and "optimal."
Standard lab ranges are designed to find disease. But most of my clients aren't looking to just "not be sick", they want to actually feel good.
If your TSH is "fine" but you're losing hair and can't get out of bed, that's not fine. If your iron is "in range" but your ferritin is bottomed out, you're going to feel it.
I look at the fine print. I look at the trends. Because you shouldn't have to wait for a diagnosis to start feeling better.
