TREHAB Launches Amazon Wish List to Support Youth Ages 14–23 in Independent Living Program

TREHAB is proud to share the launch of an Amazon Wish List created to support current and former youth in foster care, ages 14–23, who are enrolled in TREHAB’s Independent Living Program.

For more than 25 years, TREHAB’s Independent Living Program has helped youth navigate the transition to adulthood by addressing barriers specific to the foster care experience. Currently serving 38 youth across Wyoming and Susquehanna Counties, the program provides hands-on guidance, support, and skill building in key areas, including:

• Daily and Healthy Living
• Education and Employment
• Housing and Transportation
• Community Living and Self Awareness

Many youth in foster care face frequent placement changes and limited resources, making it difficult to access everyday essentials. The Amazon Wish List helps meet these needs by providing new, high-quality items that support daily functioning and personal well-being.

Items on the list include:
• Personal care and hygiene products
• School supplies for middle and high school students
• Educational materials and technology to support college-bound youth
• Other essentials that help promote stability, dignity, and normalcy

This project was developed with guidance from TREHAB’s Local Youth Advisory Board, ensuring that youth voice and lived experience are at the center of this effort. The Board also played a key role in naming the project.

“We cannot stress enough how much we appreciate everyone who works alongside us to support youth,” program staff shared. “Every contribution—no matter how small—helps youth feel encouraged, valued, and supported.”

This role focuses on providing high‑quality substance use counseling, assessments, and recovery support — all within a caring, community‑focused environment.
What We’re Looking For:
✔ Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or related field
✔ Credentialing such as CADC, CAAC, CASAC, PCB, or similar (preferred)
✔ Experience in addiction counseling, crisis intervention, and recovery programs
✔ Familiarity with EMR systems, Motivational Interviewing, DBT techniques, and harm‑reduction approaches, including MAT
