LAST CALL for Feedback on Future Intentional Community Housing Options

The Colorado Intentional Communities Housing Research Project Needs Your Feedback by June 30th!

We are seeking self-advocate and family member participants across the state to help us understand:
a) why adults with I/DD and their families desire intentional communities*
b) what makes housing and services be or feel institutional
c) what policy or regulations should be recommended to policymakers about intentional communities

To participate, sign-up for a focus group next week -or- watch a presentation and take a survey here:

In previous research, people with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) expressed the desire to live in a neuro-inclusive planned or intentional community. We are seeking self-advocate and family member participants across the state to help us understand:

Help shape Colorado’s future for people with IDD

The Colorado Developmental Disabilities Council is inviting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to share their voices in a new statewide Community Survey.

If someone with IDD needs support completing the survey, family members or caregivers are welcome to assist. However, the survey is designed to reflect the thoughts and experiences of individuals with IDD themselves.

The survey is short, anonymous, and written in plain language. It is a chance to speak up about what truly matters when it comes to living a meaningful life with choice, freedom, purpose, and inclusion.

✔️ Live in Colorado
✔️ Are a person with IDD (or support someone who is)
✔️ Want to make a difference

Take a few minutes to help guide Colorado’s next five-year plan for services and advocacy.

📅 Survey open through July 31, 2025
🕒 Takes just 5 to 10 minutes
🔗 Start here: https://ucdenver.co1.qualtrics.com/.../SV_5gRLGKMPjfamub4

Please share with your networks. Every voice makes a difference.
