To all of our wonderful patients:
We are happy to report that the Dental Board has permitted dentists to resume elective and preventive care.
Be assured that since COVID-19 crept into our lives, we have taken our safety measure for ourselves and our patients to the next level. Consequently, we have had to introduce new protocols for every patient visit, as well as remove our magazines and coffee machine (sorry). Here are a few of the changes we have made:
1. We ask that you call us when you arrive so we can es**rt you into the office. You will be asked to wear your mask and use hand sanitizer on your entry into the lobby. We have designated only a few chairs to sit in, which are separated from each other to practice social distancing. These chairs are disinfected immediately once the patient is shown to the operatory.
2. If there are more than two people in the lobby at a time, you will be asked to wait in your car and we will call you when we are ready to seat you. This will help keep foot traffic down to a minimum.
3. Once seated, you will be asked to fill out a COVID-19 medical release form, you will rinse with dilute peroxide to kill intraoral germs, and we will take your temperature (if you have any symptoms prior to your visit, we would expect you to call us beforehand to reschedule your treatment).
4. All operatory surfaces will be completely disinfected and covered with disposable barriers prior to a patient being seated, so please be patient with us as there are extra measures being taken to ensure your safety and wait times may be a bit longer.
5. You will notice all the extra PPE we will be wearing so you and my staff will remain safe.
6. We will es**rt you to the front desk when your appointment is over and ask that you remain six feet away from the front desk when making your next appointment.
We would be nowhere without all of our wonderful patients, and we welcome you all back with open arms. If you are due for your routine checkup and cleaning, or if you had to cancel because of the pandemic, we look forward to helping you with a rescheduled appointment and can’t wait to see you again.
Please stay healthy and safe!
