I am certified in MLD or Manual Lymphatic Drainage. This modality is great for reducing pain and swelling in the hands, legs, and feet due to injury or surgery. MLD has even been proven to help patients with dementia and to reduce your risk of getting dementia by keeping lymph vessels in the brain working properly! I will be hosting a class on June 30 from 6:00-7:00 to teach people about the benefits of MLD and how you can do self-MLD to prevent dementia and reduce the size of fibrocystic breast lumps. My doctor was amazed at how my breast lumps have shrunk from me doing self-MLD. Charge for the class is $20. I will teach you a 15 minute protocol for improving lymph flow to the head and breast. Starting in January, I will be raising my massage fees by $5. So.. an hour massage is currently $60. In January, it will be $65. I will still honor $5 off for paying with cash.

Next week is massage week! Do you ever wonder why a massage can leave you feeling sore afterwards? Working muscles through massage is much like exercising. It can sometimes leave you feeling sore the next day. It is best to drink a glass of water after a massage to help lubricate the tissues and cut down on after-massage soreness. Soreness that lasts for just a day or two is perfectly normal. Massage stretches out muscle fibers, promotes circulation, and helps your lymph system function better to remove toxins from the body. Always relax after a massage to help the body systems balance out. Even a heat wrap over a particularly tight area can further enhance the benefits of the massage.
